 90s Pop Music

The General and Transformed Lyrics and Music from the 90s

The Euphony from the 90s can be drawn by one word: different. Older parts of the decade saw the success of bands like Nirvana with their unclear but catchy anthem for the youth, “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” At the end of the 90s, people saw the popularity of boy bands and girl bands, their songs with Words reeking of cheesy romantic sentiments (and the occasional Words containing sincere intentions for empowerment, like the songs of The Spice Girls). If the 1980s was a decennium of initiation, the 90s was a decennium of variety. Surely, this decade has songs and Words that can solicitation to anyone and everyone, heedless of their sample and their consultation.

The commonly known anthem of the 1990s is, not amazingly, Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.” But while the Lyric Poems of this prosperous song are somewhat confusing, this song slung Kurt Cobain as the decennium’s most proverbial lyrists (or someone who writes Words) and composer (or those who indites Words). Thanks to Nirvana, filth got a mainstream philharmonic musical genre. They also paved the way for bands like Pearl Jam.

Pearl Jam also turned one of the older bands during the 90s. Their vocal “Jeremy” is now advised a modern canonical. The Lyrics and the Euphony of this vocal were divine by an article by an article Eddie Vedder read, about a high school pupil killing himself in front of his classmates. The Words of “Jeremy” can exemplify how victorious a grime song can be when done right. Unlike the Lyric Poems of “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the Lyric Poems of “Jeremy” isn’t as vague. Moot this part of the Lyric Poems: “Jeremy spoke in class today / Clearly I think of /Pickin' on the boy / Appeared a harmless little… / But we unleashed a lion.” The Words when read totally read like a tale rather than slow ramblings, which is mean of some grease songs.

But pop also emerged during this decennary—and it issued in various typewrites and forms. This was the time when boy bands and girl bands turned general again—a popularity that would go past even until the following decennary. The Lyric Poems of these songs can be took as bubblegum and dense, with the purpose of likeable to the lowly population with its visible Lyric Poems. Yet, at its best, the Lyric Poems of songs by these popular artists can attain what the best songs of any decennium can achieve.

Other identified creative people during this title admit Alanis Morisette and Eminem. Not surprisingly, both wrote the Lyric Poems and the Music for their songs—and the Lyric Poems are often took as some of the best written during this time. Morisette, for instance, writes Lyric Poems that are really relatable; but they do not take the easy way out by using clichés. The Lyrics of Eminem, for illustrate, are debatable and potentially disgusting, but they meditate social truths that no other doorknocker can emulate.

From divas to knocker, from rock bands to boy bands, from grunge to pop—the 90s certainly has everything.

The Wide and Varied Lyric Poems and Euphony from the 90s

The Music from the 90s can be identified by one word: assorted. Earlier personae of the decennary saw the succeeder of bands like Nirvana with their vague but catchy anthem for the youth, “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” At the end of the 90s, people saw the popularity of boy bands and girl bands, their songs with Lyrics wet of cheesy romantic sentiments (and the occasional Words bearing sincere designs for empowerment, like the songs of The Spice Girls). If the 1980s was a decennium of invention, the 90s was a decennary of variety. Surely, this decennary has songs and Lyrics that can solicitation to anyone and everyone, regardless of their taste and their citation.

The commonly unquestionable anthem of the 1990s is, not surprisingly, Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.” But while the Lyric Poems of this successful song are somewhat vague, this song slung Kurt Cobain as the decade’s most illustrious lyrists (or someone who writes Lyric Poems) and composer (or those who compiles Lyrics). Thanks to Nirvana, filth grown a mainstream melodious genre. They also paved the way for bands like Pearl Jam.

Pearl Jam also became one of the major bands during the 90s. Their song “Jeremy” is now dealt a circulating classic. The Lyrics and the Music of this song were glorious by an article by an article Eddie Vedder read, about a high school student dry himself in front of his class fellows. The Lyrics of “Jeremy” can illustrate how successful a dirt song can be when done aright. Unlike the Words of “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the Lyrics of “Jeremy” isn’t as vague. Consider this part of the Lyric Poems: “Jeremy spoke in class today / Clearly I think of /Pickin' on the boy / Appeared a harmless little… / But we let loose a lion.” The Lyrics when read completely read like a narrative rather than weak ramblings, which is typical of some grime songs.

But pop also emerged during this decennium—and it emerged in different typewrites and varieties. This was the time when boy bands and girl bands turned common again—a popularity that would transcend even until the following decade. The Words of these songs can be taken as bubblegum and syrupy, with the design of invoking to the fresher universe with its accessible Words. Yet, at its best, the Words of songs by these pop artists can achieve what the best songs of any decade can achieve.

Other illustrious creative people during this title take on Alanis Morisette and Eminem. Not amazingly, both wrote the Words and the Euphony for their songs—and the Words are often thought as some of the greatest written during this time. Morisette, for instance, writes Lyrics that are really relatable; but they do not take the easy way out by using clichés. The Lyric Poems of Eminem, for instance, are controversial and potentially offensive, but they mull societal truths that no other knocker can emulate.

From prima donnas to knocker, from rock bands to boy bands, from filth to pop—the 90s sure enough has everything.

THE KING OF POP

A star from the Pop world disappeared at 2.26 p m local time of the U S on 25 June 2009.

No one imagined this would happen so suddenly.

Death comes as it likes at anytime it wishes.

We have no control over it.

Everyone who is born in this world has to go at the invitation of Death.

It is Nature’s call; we have no say in it.

At the age of 50, the King of Pop – Michael Jackson died.

The sad news spread and made millions of Jackson’s fans all over the world stunned.

The mourning millions started thinking of Jackson and his music, songs and dances.

They played Jackson’s CDs which picked up the sales and became the best sellers suddenly after a long time.

After the Pop Star – Elvis Presley dead at 42, Michael Jackson was the best Pop star of the Globe.

All those stars achieved something great which was not reached by many others of equal talents.

Michael Jackson married Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie only for 20 months in 90s.

‘This Is It’ was a series of concerts to be performed in London in July 2009.

Jackson was a very rich guy spending his time in rehearsals and performances.

Neverland estate of 1000 ha area at California is an asset he possessed.

Michael Jackson’s death created suspicions.

He lived in pills and junk food.

The extensive plastic surgery on his face and the color bleaching of his skin could have caused some abnormal influences in his body.

Only his doctors know about those problems for which high doses of medicines were prescribed administered.

‘Thriller’ was the world’s all-time best-selling album of MJ who was a song-writer, singer and dancer making the mob to go mad.

In 2003, Jackson was changed with child molestation in criminal court.

He was proved innocent and was never convicted.

He sold Neverland estate to a private-equity firm and move to an ultra-posh Holmby Hills in Los Angeles and wanted money to cope up with his lavish life-style.

In fact, MJ was exploited by his associates because he never kept an account of his financial assets.

Since 1997 Jackson did not tour and he agreed for 50 shows in London during July 2009.

He was trying for a come back.

The tickets were sold already for $90 million.

But all his dreams were washed off by Death.

Jackson’s will signed in 2002 was made public after his death.

According to his will, he left his estate to a family trust and nothing to his second wife Debbie Towe who gave birth to Prince Michael Jackson (12 years) and Paris Jackson (11years).

MJ has a third child, Prince Michael II (7 years) with an unknown surrogate mother.

His mother Katherine was name as a beneficiary to the trust and guardian of the three children.

The net worth of his assets may worth millions of dollars which may be the attraction to his associates.

A great talented man who started singing at an early age of eight till his last days has to be remembered.

Millions of people – young and old, boys and girls, men and women – from all over the world are the fans of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop.

But now he left them leaving his memories in his albums and DVDs.

An African-American, basically a black turned white by changing his color to white, sang, danced and traveled widely giving concerts attended by millions of fans.

How a single man could get this extraordinary popularity among the people of the world?

No answer for this question; yet we may say that there was a man ‘born and lived in America’ known as Michael Jackson, the King of Pop.

Day By Day At The Song Fest On Music Row

It's part festival, part music conference, part business networking opportunity and part gathering of old friends held in Nashville, TN every third weekend of June. The live performances, education and Open House are concurrently running events. Here's a day by day account from Friday morning and continuing on till Sunday midnight.

Day 1, Friday, June 19th, 2009
It's Friday 9 AM we start with some pro instruction. Richard Adler, Grammy, Platinum/Gold recording engineer & producer talks about the nitty gritty of being in the music biz. Then Dave Gibson shares some insights and plays a few songs that have worked for him. (Texas Tattoo, Big Heart, Red White and Blue Collar, Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys, Queen Of Memphis, Daddy Never was the Cadillac Kind, Ships That Don't Come In, Jukebox In My Mind, Lonely & Gone). Following Dave is Stan Webb, SESAC Legacy Award. "I'm From the Country"(and I like it that way.), and other commercial successes. Stan talks about the realities of becoming a long term professional songwriter.

After Lunch, Steven Sharp's inside knowledge from successes of running a major label talks about, "The Politics of Getting a Song Heard and Cut". Next, entertainment law expert Bill Whitacre will take your questions on copyrights, rules on co-writing and collaboration, publishing, artist deals, digital rights and more. Finally, wrapping up the afternoon session is Radio Host Karen Reynolds, who will speak on "The business and skills of the performing songwriter".

Friday afternoon @ 5:30 PM we begin firing off the stages. Starting at the Curb Music parking, lot, it's time to begin the non stop original tunes till Sunday midnight! There are scheduled featured writer segments intermingled with regular writers. About 6:30 the writers start finding their place in the mix at the various Video, Web Cast and other outdoor theme venues. Unscheduled Create-A-Rounds pop up throughout the evening. Some writers browse a Booth or drop off their CDs to display at the Writer's Table. The stages hum till about 2 AM. As the evening winds down the hard core gather and play unplugged at the after hours Open Sing Ring. Thus begins a life changing weekend, so pace yourself.

Day 2, Saturday, June 20th, 2009
It's Saturday morning @ 10 AM, the Writers who got some rest are up-and-about getting first hand experience of the Row. The second day of the Pro Instructors classes starts with a Guitar workshop with Dave Isaacs "Driving The Groove." Next Debi Champion gives pointers on "How to Host a Successful Writers Night". Lisa Aschmann explains her concepts behind the book, "1000 Songwriting Ideas." Pete & Pat Luboff will tell ya why "Collaboration is the Key to getting songs cut." and Tirk Wilder rounds things off doing Song Critiques for students.

Also at 10 AM on Saturday the Open House begins. Fest Heads will be able to drop by participating recording studios, producers, publishers, publicists, consultants, managers, duplicators, and other trade related music businesses on or near the Row. These businesses will have an "Open Door Policy" from 10 AM-6 PM June 20th and 21st. These established Music Row businesses will offer tours of their facilities and answer questions about "What part they play in the biz?" Writers are encouraged to drop off and pick up samples of each others works.

Around noon, live music begins filling the Row again and the booths are open for traffic. Little clusters of writers develop, each sharing stories and talking shop. Everyone is laid back and having a meaningful experience thanks to the no contest, no talent search emphasis of the fest, making for a more relaxing atmosphere. At some point we present the Life Time Achievement award to the festival Grand Master. Last year Tom T. Hall took the honors and was presented the keys to Music Row. The stages close down again at 2 AM and the really late niters head for the after hours Open Sing Ring to watch the sun rise. By the end of the second day, Fest Heads have been effectively scattered from one end of the Row to the other.

Day 3, Sunday, June 21st, 2009
It's Sunday Morning 8 AM and thus begins a special Christian Music Segment at the Curb Music Parking Lot. A special emphasis on Contemporary Christian related music is pursued till noon.

10 AM, Survivors from Friday and Saturday hit the Row again! The Sunday session of the Open House begins. Fest Heads loaded down with business cards, CD's and goodie bags take advantage of the "Open Door Policy" till 6 PM.

10:30 AM, The 3rd day of Pro Instruction kicks off again and runs till about 6 PM. Starting things out is a guitar workshop by master Denny Sarokin. Then find out how to be "Ready for the Row" with Barbara Cloyd. After Barb, Bob Dellaposta will speak on "How to start and maintain a publishing company." Also critically acclaimed author and songwriter C J Watson will talk on "Everything Songwriting". Finally 15 year Music Row veteran Jo Crowe will help ya get your stuff ready to plug from publisher to label & also do song critiques for the gang.

At Noon all the stages begin firing back up, booths are open and everything hums along as usual. Some of the late-niter's begin straggling in and the party continues. Go with the flow, 12 more hours to go.

At 6 PM. If anyone wants to get married at the Fest then this is the time we do it, free of charge. Festival provides a Hall of Famer to minister the ceremony. The bride and groom read a poem or play a special tune to each other on stage, kiss and then head off to a reception nearby. Don't worry. I think there will be plenty of live entertainment.

In the evening about 8 PM we start winding down the video, web cast and other stages and Southern Fried Fest Heads start gravitating to the Curb Music Parking Lot as we get ready to Jam till midnight. Having gotten our musical fill, we yearn no more. Little elves clear the row of gear, stages, and by the next day it's like we never existed.

The week following the Fest some writers are still hanging around the Row, following up on leads and cementing plans for the future. For better or worse, at least you know your way around now.

The Nashville SongWriters Festival is many happenings in one. ASCAP, SESAC and BMI writers of all genres come together. Publishers, recording studios, producers, song pluggers, managers, and others are in attendance as a broad spectrum of the industry, past, present and future will be there getting the feel. Take in all or parts of the Fest and "Play it by ear".

Writers are encouraged to come as they are and find their place in the mix. Everyone who comes to the fest will have an opportunity to share their original lyrics, song or music. There are no set pre qualifications to play and no set registration fee to attend the Fest. Each individual determines how they can contribute to help be a part of this music magic. Many special guests and surprises await but the real featured writer is you.

So step outside the cliques and come hang with the gang. If you have a talent to contribute, the call goes out. Invite yourself to be a part of Music City history. The fest is now accepting sign ups for the June 2009 season. Throw down at this years congregation to celebrate the spirit of the songwriter.

The 3 day music peoples gathering is hosted by SongWritersFestival.com. Music Fans and the general public are also invited to attend. Plenty of free parking. For more information visit www.SongWritersFestival.com, call 615-424-1491 / 931-296-4067 or email Popcorn@SongWritersFestival.com. Israeli Folk Dance Reminds Me of Krishna's Rasa Dance

Some acquaintances of mine recently told me about how wonderful it was to go to what is known as the "Israeli folk dance" at the local synagogue where people of all ages get involved with this style of dancing. Since I was always shy and not really a dancer and also because I am not Jewish, I was reluctant to attend. They told me anyone could go.

So I finally decided to take a peek one Sunday evening (after the local ISKCON temple program, ironically) to see what it was all about, just as a casual observer. While both locations were religious or spiritual institutions, each had their own unique atmosphere that were gulfs apart in terms of intent and ideology. I'm glad I went because while driving back home I had these incredible realizations that I would like to share with devotees.

I entered the synagogue and to my surprise there were as many as 100 or more men and women of varying ages all participating in a folk dance that for the most part was very lyrical. The choreography and music was very refreshing and something I had never seen before. There were people from many walks of life and faiths. I thought to myself, how interesting. Interesting that this many people can come together and enjoy the social function of just dancing. My mind of course went to Krsna.

I sat down and spent an hour or so just watching the different people dance and suddenly I thought of the "rasa dance" wherein Lord Krsna expands Himself into millions of duplicate forms and dances with millions of gopis and of course, His eternal beloved consort, Srimati Radharani. Everything began to make sense. This is what people need. Dance is the eternal function of the soul in every culture throughout the entire planet since the beginning of time. But this type of dancing was material, temporary, perhaps an ancient memory of the REAL, eternal dance, transcendental in nature.

Israeli dance to me is a strange blend of Greek, traditional Israeli and even Russian dance steps that have a very elegant quality to it. Sometimes it's fast and modern, sometimes slow and classical. Whereas in modern dance, such as disco, country-western et al the main focus is sense gratification and sex desire, that is, men and women coming together to meet and mate, Israeli dance is somewhat different in that the dancers sometimes form circles and clap and have very unique dance steps. It's not overtly lusty.

I wondered what Srila Prabhupada would make of all this and we all know that he would look at this from a pure Krsna conscious point of view. Fortunately, I could also. Of course, there were no deities. While the concept of bringing men and women together for such a social event may seem pleasing, it is primarily self-centered, in other words, it excluded the center of attraction, Lord Sri Krsna as the supreme enjoyer.

I then wondered what ISKCON would have been like if Srila Prabhupada introduced this kind of temple worship where, rather than having men and women segregated as opposed to dancing together, would the movement have been more popular? Maybe it would because it would not have seemed like a "strict" religious movement. That is, popular in terms of a place where one can congregate without feeling alienated by institutional constraints.

I then said to myself, no, this was not in keeping with the Vedic conclusions and Krsna consciousness in general and besides, men and women in the temple were eventually meeting and marrying anyway, dancing together or not. This would have gone against the original nature of the temple environment Srila Prabhupada established in keeping with the dictates for practicing pure Krsna consciousness.

Krsna always had to be in the center, else, ISKCON would have degenerated into just another fad, another mundane religion. In fact, what makes Krsna consciousness so unique is that, to my knowledge it is the only spiritual movement that incorporates sankirtana, congregational dancing into their temple worship, whereas other religions tend to concentrate on singing hymns and listening to sermons. If there is dancing and food, it is usually a separate social function for fund-raising etc.

Still, I enjoyed watching everyone dance and drove home feeling a sense of sadness for these souls caught up, as I sometimes am, in the modes of passion when their eternal rasa is to dance eternally with Krsna in Goloka, Vrndavana in the spiritual sky, their only real home. I also sensed that these dancers were very lonely.

Krsna consciousness is not easy. But just as we became Krsna conscious, we must, as Srila Prabhupada often said, "Hope against hope," pray that one day they will also come to grips with the conclusions of the Vedas and join the progressive march back to Godhead to dance forever in their eternal rasa with Lord Sri Krsna.

Taking Dance Instruction Lessons in Maryland!

Dancing is originally a form of art which is moving rhythmically to music using a basic choreography or improvised steps. Many people cannot help move to a beat upon hearing one. That’s why there are people in Maryland who attend dance instruction workshops to release their energy or express themselves in a manner they are comfortable with. Dance lessons in Maryland not only allow one to express for it can also lead to a high paying dance career.

Ancient times have it that dancing is a type of praise and ritual in worshipping the god of wine, Dionysus. Dancing became popular because of the competitions and rewards that eventually came with it.

Dancing can also be a good form of exercise plus it defines your body’s contour. And did you know that dancers are considered elite athletes? They follow a regular pattern of tough training to achieve agility and to maintain their condition. A dancer should possess extraordinary flexibility, muscular strength and have physical and mental stamina. There are dance professionals who offer dance lesson in Maryland which continuously teaches aspiring dancers different steps and dances common in the industry. You can also enjoy MD private lessons for an in-depth dance approach. They also offer >wedding dance lessons in DC for profound grace on the dance floor and confidence before a huge crowd.

Dance skills are often a gift. Not everybody has the gift but each can learn if he is willing to get down to its basics. You are most welcome to join dancing schools and enjoy dance lessons!

Nowadays, there is high demand for modern dance. Many like the effects of modern dance movements on them. The legendary Michael Jackson became popular in this field. The seventh child of the Jackson family, Michael Joseph Jackson is an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman, concurrently. He, together with his siblings, conquered the music scene at the age of 11 and his career went on to flourish. He was tagged the ‘King of Pop’ and his albums sold like hot cakes, making hit after hit.

Jackson popularized his complicated dance steps like the robot dance and the very popular ‘moonwalk’. Jackson serves as a distinction in the music industry with his unusual voice and ecstatic performances.

Not only that. Jackson has received multiple awards including the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, 13 Grammy Awards (imagine guys, he bagged 13!), with 13 number one singles in the entirety of his solo career—out staging any other male artist in the Hot 100 era, plus a total of 750 million of sold units worldwide! Because of his successful career in the music industry together with his much publicized personal life, Jackson leaves a mark that will forever be etched in the popular culture. He was even cited as one of the world’s most famous men! Gee, what a talent!

The facility features separate entrances for truckers and regular commuters.
Iowa 80 is the world's largest truck stop, located along Interstate 80 off exit 284 in Walcott, Iowa. Set on a 220-acre (89ha) plot of land (four times larger than an average truckstop and 2.5 times larger than Disneyland) -- 75acres (30ha) of which are currently developed -- the site receives 5,000 visitors daily, and features a 67,000sqft (6,200m2) main building, parking for 800 trucks, and 15 fuel pumps. Four-hundred and fifty employees staff the megaplex.

History
Bill Moon, a regional manager for Standard Oil, purchased the land and built the original truckstop in 1964 along the emerging I-80, the 3,000-mile (4,800km) highway which would directly connect San Francisco with New York. "As they were building I-80, my father was responsible for finding land and building truck stops for Standard," says his daughter Delia Meier. Initially a small white enamel building surrounded by cornfields, it housed a modest truckers store, a one lube bay and a restaurant. Bill Moon took direct control in September 1965, and eventually purchased the site from the corporation in 1984. In 1992, the year of Moon's death, it became a Travelcenter of America franchise, though the facility is still owned and operated by the Moon family.
Facilities
Exterior
In addition to the ample parking and truck scales, Iowa 80 offers fifteen fuel stations, twice that of an average truck stop; a small convenience store is located right on the fuel island. The pump stations feature a nozzle on each side, so they can fill both tanks simultaneously. A seven-bay service center offers diagnostics, minor repairs, oil changes, tire rotations. The 'Truck-o-mat' can wash trucks and their trailers using a combination of machine- and hand-washing. Even the engine is washed, using a wand which sprays 180 (82) water at 15psi (100kPa)[dubious discuss] (50 times stronger than an average garden hose) to wash away grime, salt, & oil, and to help find oil leaks. The fifteen-minute wash typically costs around fifty dollars.
Interior

The showroom floor, featuring tricked-out 'show trucks' and a wall of lights.
Trucker's Warehouse Store
This two-story, 30,000sqft (2,800m2) showroom is the largest trucker's store in the country. It features 75,000 items for sale, including a collection of chrome accessories, books, DVDs, CB's, cell phone accessories, apparel and cleaners, chrome stacks, and bumpers. Most striking are the three decked-out show trucks -- one on a rotating platform -- and the 20-by-40-foot (6.1m12m) wall displaying 500 illuminated truck lights. A vinyl graphics shop, custom t-shirt shop, and embroidery center are located in the store.
Food Services
In addition to Blimpie, Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, The Iowa 80 Kitchen offers a fifty-foot salad bar and 'home-cooked' meals, serving 1 million cups of coffee and 90 tons of meat annually. The restaurant itself can seat 350 patrons, and a banquet room expands the total capacity by 60.
Other Facilities
Truckers can relax in one of the twenty-three private shower & toilet rooms (which may be requested from the gas pump), the two game rooms, or the Driver's Den Lounge, complete with leather chairs and fireplace. Iowa 80 also features a business center with fax machines, logbooks & trip report forms, working stations, and "everything you need to run an office." More unusual are the 60-seat movie theater and on-site barbershop. The most unexpected facility, though, may be the dentist's office. The dentist usually arrives at around 2pm, after finishing at his regular clinic, and works for six or seven hours; some of his patrons are local residents rather than truckers. Across the hall from the dentist there is also a newly-added chiropractic clinic, operated by a trucker-turned-chiropractor whose services include chiropractic adjustments and Department of Transportation physicals.

A wide shot of the exterior captures the scope of the building's size.
The exit-ramp sign boasts this is the "World's Largest Truckstop".

For many many years the only radio selections have been AM or FM and while each of these provide a different format some things are still the same. The static that can be found when trying to pull in that station you want to hear but just can not seem to get it in right, then there is also the problem when listening to some shows on the radio and even some music with censorship.

Censorship is fine and should be used as anyone of any age is able to turn on a radio and find a radio station to listen too and this is especially good with young children who are old enough to not be in under their parent's watchful eye. However when an adult listens to the radio they are often looking for crisp clear sound and they want to hear the whole news show with opinions and language that may not be acceptable on AM or FM stations. They may also want to listen to music that is not acceptable on these other stations and as an adult they can choose to do so with satellite radio.

Since the beginning of satellite radio there are more and more programs and stations looking for

change and moving over to satellite radio.

Satellite radio because of how special the service and the programming is a subscription service and DirecTV offers their customers XM Satellite radio packages with up to 73 channels of satellite radio music, news and sports that are clear, crisp sound and completely uncensored. With stations such as the Big Tracks where the pick of music is classic rock from the 70's through the early 90's to take you back in time to when music was filled with guitar solos and drums, leaving out the bass that vibrates the room.

There are also stations like Beyond Jazz, this station includes all types of jazz both old and new like electric and acoustic jazz, acid jazz and the greats when it comes to jazz singers. Maybe Bluegrass is your choice for listening pleasure and for this type of music there is Bluegrass Junction.

The Bonyard is a station for when you are in the mood for action with bands such as AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N' Roses and for a little calmer music Bon Jovi or Metallica and this just touches on the 80's hard rock from America and Europe that can be heard.

When it is time to listen to something else there are stations such as Oprah and Friends, there is Radio Disney that will thrill the while family with fantasy prizes and the interaction on this station.

Then there are the talk news shows when it is time for catching up with what is going on in the world from conflicts to elections there are stations to hear each side of the situation.

This is what satellite radio has to offer at just a glimpse and with 73 of these stations there are sure to be stations that will interest everyone in the family as well as educate about the world around you.

Get to Know the Different Types of Spanish Music

Spanish music has become increasingly popular due to the hit-makers of pop superstars Shakira and J-Lo. Did you know that there are many different types of Spanish music? Every Spanish-speaking country has its own version of what Spanish music is, and it differs greatly from culture to culture.

Salsa is a type of Spanish music that is featured prominently in Cuban and Puerto Rican communities. Salsa is a fast moving style of dance that is popular in all of the clubs these days. It is popular because the dance moves do not require a lot of space, so more people can be squeezed in to enjoy this music on a dance floor. Salsa music is a combination of African rhythms with Spanish beats.

Tango music and dance is known for its dramatic flair. You probably already have a picture in your head of a woman dancing with a rose held in her teeth! The music is fairly classical featuring violins, double bass and a piano, but it can also have the accompaniment of flutes and clarinets.

Spanish pop music is a meld of many regions that is produced to appeal to the masses. Pop music is usually more about the singers than the songs themselves.

Latin jazz does not have a backbeat which makes it sound completely different from American jazz music. The rhythm is straight and not like the swing sound found in American jazz. Latin jazz combines African rhythms with conga drums giving it a Caribbean flavor

Bossa nova music originated in the country of Brazil. Unlike other types of Spanish music, bossa nova does not use percussion instruments. Instead, bossa nova is infused with guitar and piano instruments to give it a gentle rhythm.

Tejano music is often characterized as a Spanish polka, if you can imagine that sort of comparison. Tejano music roots are from Mexico and traditionally feature an accordion, but synthesizers have been used more recently to update this classic style of Spanish music.
